Tsukioka YOSHITOSHI (1839 – 1892)

Shows Rokugi Suginosuke Norifusa, a robber-chief and magician, also known as Tengu-jiro as he could fly like the tengus. From the fine chuban set of fifty prints Biyu Suikoden, “Handsome Heroes of the Water Margin” published by Omiya Kyujiro, 1866/7 ( this being 1867 ).

Fine impression and colour with mica. Very good condition. Signed Ikkaisai Yoshitoshi hitsu.
